Join us for our annual Fulton-Mason Eagle Day on Saturday, February 1, 2020!
Activities include live raptor programs, hands-on activities and crafts for kids, and bird watching in various locations in Lewistown and Havana, Illinois. The event is FREE and for all ages.
Dickson Mounds Museum, 10956 N. Dickson Mounds Road, Lewistown, from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
World Bird Sanctuary's Raptor Awareness programs will be held at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. in the Dickson Mounds auditorium. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Dickson Mounds, the day of the event. Tickets cannot be reserved in advance. Seating is limited. Admission is free. The new temporary exhibit, Audubon: The Birds of America, Prints from The Collection of the Illinois State Museum, opens for viewing.

Simulated Eagle's nest & kid's craft activities
Numerous American Bald Eagle sightings in the area already! This will be a great year for Eagle watching from both sides of the river in Mason and Fulton County. Eagles will be best viewed from the Visitor Use Area at the Emiquon Preserve and at the Havana Nature Center on the Illinois River at the North End of Riverfront Park.
The Havana Regional Airport hosts a large array of activities including Young Eagle events, airport stargazing with the U of I Astronomy Club, pancake breakfasts, fly-ins and camping, aviation education events and pizza and outdoor movie nights.
