Location and Map

​Havana is located directly on the bank of the Illinois River at 40°17′49″N 90°3′36″W  (40.297067, -90.060004), near the Chautauqua National Wildlife Refuge and a short distance from the Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge and The Nature Conservancy's Emiquon Preserve.  Havana  has a total area of 2.8 square miles (7.2 km²), of which, 2.6 square miles (6.8 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (5.40%) is water.
